Water, water everywhere...

I took Ro out to eat tonight. He looked around the restaurant and realized that everyone around us was drinking wa-wa (or various other beverages.) He was thrilled! He started pointing everywhere, waying "Mama, wa-wa! Wa-wa!There, wa-wa!" and just laughed and kicked his legs. I don't have any idea what exactly this discovery meant to him, but he was absolutely tickled.

The Streak

Today Ro and I had leftover lasagna for lunch, and of course he needed a bath after that. After the bath, I got a diaper on him and asked what he wanted to wear.
He ran to the door, yelled "Na-na," ripped off his diaper, and ran into the living room giggling.
That's why they call him "The Streak."

See it!

Today, Ro and I went to Wal-Mart (which shall hereafter be called simply "Mart," which is how Ro says it) and he saw the big column filled with giant balls. Even after I tried to remind him that he had one of these at home, he kept carrying on-- pointing and saying "There? There? There?" I asked him if he wanted to so see the balls, and he yelled "SEE?!? SEE!!! SEE!!!" So we looked at the great big balls and then he pointed out something else. "Do you want to go see it?" I asked him. "See! See it! See it!"
We went all over the store, Ro pointing to things and yelling "See it!" We looked at the great big rafts on display in the sporting section, which got a "Wooo!" out of Rohan, we looked at a display of sunglasses, we looked at a shelf full of clocks, we looked at all the cereal... I think I drove all over the store three times taking Ro to all the things he wanted to look at. He had a great time; I'm gonna go take a nap.

"Nah."

RoRo has been all over the word "NO" today.

RORO: (reaching for the refrigerator) Joos? Joos?
MAMA: Do you want some juice?
RORO: (shaking his head) ...Nah. Wa-wa? Wa-wa?
MAMA: Okay, you want water?
RORO: (shaking his head) ...Nah-nah.

I even asked him if he wanted to go somewhere in the car, which usually sends him body-surfing down the stairs as fast as the conflict between gravity and friction will allow, but today he shook his head, said, "Nah..."

...and went and got his shoes for me to put on!


When you ask RoRo to smile for the camera...

...he SMILES!

Invasion!

An alien vessel appeared in our kitchen this morning.

I soon discovered evidence to suggest that the alien craft was in fact a hoax!

Not wanting to take any chances, I consulted a local UFOlogist for ways to thwart alien mind-beams.
