T-Rex Cafe

The night before we left for Seattle, Rohan got to eat at T-Rex Cafe in Kansas City! He was scared at first, but quickly decided that the enormous moving T-Rex in the lobby was his friend and favorite dinosaur ever!

Mariners Vs. Pirates

On Tuesday, we walked from Vijay's townhouse to Safeco Field and watched a Mariners game. It was Ro's first baseball game ever-- he made it to the 7th inning stretch. His dad and mom enjoyed the game and the unique character of the stadium. We'll never forget the smell of the garlic fries!

Here Kitty-kitty!

The next day, we went to Woodland Park Zoo. RoRo wanted to see the still-fairly-new sumatran tiger cub first. They had lots of big cats at this zoo.

Butterflies Abounding

A butterfly tent at the zoo was a nice change of pace. We got to see butterflies emerge from their chrysalises and watched their wings dry on a hemlock tree. Mama even got up the nerve to ask an attendant if Rohan could touch a discarded chrysalis. He said, "It feels crunchy!"

That's all!

We ended our tour of Woodland Park Zoo with a trip to see some distant cousins. Then Rohan steered us to the exit and we went home.
