Twix or Treat!

RoRo may not remember his first trick-or-treat in the years to come-- but Daddy and I most certainly will! Ro was very polite, and while he didn't always say "Trick or Treat," he did squeak "Tay-Too!" every time he got candy.
In fact, he was almost too polite at one point. A little girl about his age peered into his treat bucket and started sifting through his candy. Sujit and I didn't know quite what to do, so we just watched to see how Ro would handle it. The little girl pulled out a shiny gold Twix bar and promptly asked me to open it.
I wondered whether or not I should try to get the candy back. Ro didn't seem to care, really, that his loot had just been pilfered, so I just said, "No, you need to ask your mommy or daddy if you can eat it."
Disappointed, she turned back to RoRo's candy, maybe thinking that the problem was with her initial choice, and that I would maybe open something else for her. But lo and behold! There was another Twix bar! What luck! She looked them both over carefully, and finally decided that one of them was a little beaten-up for her taste, so she dropped it back into Ro's bucket.
"Tay-Too!" he chirped.
